This weekend the Tax Debt Resolution Industry comes together in Washington D.C. to establish the National Association of Tax Debt Resolution Companies. This newly created Association will bring the leaders of our industry together to tackle the growing issues within our industry and will hopefully begin the process of leading the way in determining industry guidelines and regulations. This Association is necessary to address ongoing regulatory threats along with assisting in presenting the Tax Resolution Industry in a more positive light as recent bankruptcies of heavily advertised firms like Roni Deutch, JK Harris and Taxmasters have put a black-eye on our profession.
We are please to announce that Lawrence Levy, our CEO, will be one of 18 Industry leaders vying for a seat on the newly created Association's board. The conference will be held from May 20-21st in Washington, D.C.. The conference will be a 2-day event that not only selects the inaugural board but will consist of several major speakers addressing the state of our industry. We will follow-up on our blog with the results of the election along with any pertinent information that may come from this all-important event.
